Description:
“A deceptive kit that copies the identity of a random enemy at the start of the game. If they get close to the enemy that they copied, other players on the enemy’s team will be able to knock them around, adding further confusion!
However, when the copied enemy is killed, the doppelganger’s true identity will be revealed for the next 20 seconds, after which they assume the identity of another enemy who is still alive.”
A rundown of the kit’s abilities:
Basically, this kit makes you look like a random enemy at the start of the game. In addition to copying their actual body, your armor and weapon will also look like the kit they are currently playing as (but you will not be able to use that particular kit’s abilities—obviously). The doppelganger can only copy kits that are not invisible.
When the enemy that you copied is within a 5 block radius of you, that enemy’s teammates will be able to knock them around, but not actually damage them (This gives the illusion that they are being hit). If the copied enemy is killed by their teammates through external causes (knocked into fire, void, etc.), then it does not count as a kill. Also, a special death message will be displayed upon this circumstance: “(copied enemy‘s teammate) caused (copied enemy)‘s death out of confusion.”
If the enemy you have copied dies, your disguise will drop for the next 20 seconds, which reveals your true identity and team color. After that time has passed, you will then copy another random enemy who is still alive. If the remaining enemy players are all playing invisible kits, you will simply stay as your true identity for the rest of the game.
