I am of the opinion that instead of having a lobby where we vote for a map and then wait there for just 30 seconds, we should return to the old system where we directly spawn in a randomly selected SnD map for at least a minute or 90 seconds.
Here's why:
First, if we have more time on an already loaded map, we are able to better devise strategies with friends. It's harder to discuss strategies and tell each other what kits they should play and how they should play if you only have 30 seconds from when the map loads to when the game starts. We can also visualize what individual strategies we're going to take by roaming around the map. Gameplay is enhanced when strategizing takes place, so this is quite an important point.
Second, I think it's better for the new players to have sufficient time to roam and explore the map and learn where the bombs are placed, what routes there are, what the bases are like and just to get a feel for the map and appreciate it. It's going to be off-putting to newcomers if the only way they can learn about the maps is after dying and becoming spectators; considering there are so many maps, it's going to take a while.
And lastly, I personally dislike being tp'd so many times. It interrupts chatting and closes the kit UI.
